Atmospheric Plasma Treatment - PlasmaBeam

E-mail Print PDF

The 'PlasmaBeam' atmospheric plasma treatment torch delivers far superior results than corona surface treatments and is used mainly for the local pretreatment (cleaning, activation) of different surfaces including:

  • Polymers
  • Metal
  • Ceramics
  • Glass
  • Hybrid materials

Atmospheric Plasma Treatment Advantages

Atmospheric-Plasma-Torch-PlasmaBeam-Operation

- fast, localised atmospheric plasma pre-treatment of parts prior to bonding
- ultra-fine atmospheric plasma cleaning
- surface activation with atmospheric plasma

Atmospheric-Plasma-Torch-PlasmaBeam-Treatment
- highest quality treatments
- localised treatments
- dry, environmental friendly technique, no messy chemicals
- very low operation cost & easy integration with automated lines

The 'PlasmaBeam' can be robot controlled and can also be installed into existing, automated production lines with minimal cost.

Atmospheric Plasma Treatment - PlasmaBeam & plasmabeam duo

Atmospheric-Plasma-Treatment-PlasmaBeam

With atmospheric plasma treatment, gas becomes excited by means of high voltage under ambient pressure that ignites the plasma. The plasma is emitted with compressed air from a nozzle. PlasmaBeam is a single nozzle atmospheric palsma system, PlasmaBeam Duo has two treatment nozzles operating simultaneously.

Uses: plasma cleaning, plasma surface activation

Case Studies

Tyndall National Institute choose our Pico benchtop etching system for its compound semiconductor fabrication facility. This is the second system installed in the facility in the past three years and will be routinely used for processing of a wide range of optoelectronic materials.
